Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Busser to join our dynamic restaurant team! As a Host/Busser, you will manage reservations, assist with seating arrangements, and support the serving staff by maintaining a clean and inviting dining space. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage restaurant reservation systems to confirm bookings and optimize seating flow
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition into the dining experience
• Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate estimated wait times clearly via phone or in person using proper phone etiquette
• Assist servers by clearing tables promptly, resetting them efficiently, and supporting food delivery when needed
• Use restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to update seating status and track reservations
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns courteously and professionally
• Uphold food safety standards by handling dishes carefully and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or busser in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Basic math skills for handling guest counts, bills, or reservation adjustments
• Excellent phone communication skills with proper phone etiquette for taking reservations or answering inquiries
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
• Experience with POS systems including Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred but not required
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
