HOSTEL MASTER

A reputable school in Ipaja, Lagos is currently seeking a responsible, disciplined, and experienced Hostel Master and Hostel Mistress to supervise students and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school hostel.

Location: Ipaja, Lagos
Salary: ₦120,000 – ₦140,000 Monthly
Employment Type: Full-Time

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and monitor students residing in the school hostel.
• Maintain discipline, order, and proper conduct among students.
• Ensure students follow hostel rules and daily routines.
• Monitor students’ attendance, welfare, hygiene, and general wellbeing.
• Conduct regular checks of hostel facilities and report maintenance issues.
• Ensure students maintain cleanliness and proper personal hygiene.
• Supervise students during study periods, bedtime, meals, and other hostel activities.
• Handle minor student concerns and escalate serious issues to school management.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ activities, attendance, and incidents.
• Serve as a responsible adult role model and provide guidance and support to students.
• Ensure the safety and security of students within the hostel premises.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of NCE, OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a boarding school or hostel environment is an added advantage.
• Strong discipline, leadership, and supervisory skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage students effectively and handle difficult situations calmly.
• Responsible, patient, observant, and trustworthy.
• Must be willing to work full-time in Ipaja, Lagos.
