Hostel Supervisor

About the role

This role involves managing company hostels, ensuring cleanliness, safety and proper maintenance through regular inspections and audits.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular hostel inspections and audits to ensure cleanliness, safety and proper maintenance
• Drive and bring hostel cleaners to company hostels using the company vehicle for scheduled cleaning
• Prepare and maintain the cleaning schedule for all company hostels and ensure cleaning is carried out as planned
• Supervise cleaners and monitor their attendance, work quality and performance
• Source and arrange viewing of new hostel premises
• Coordinate hostel setup, including arranging and moving furniture, fixtures and other required items into the hostel
• Coordinate hostel key collection, handover and return with landlords and agents
• Liaise with the Maintenance Team for repairs, maintenance and reinstatement works
• Follow up on outstanding hostel issues and ensure timely rectification
• Maintain records of hostel inspections, cleaning schedules and maintenance

About you

• 2–3 years of experience in hostel management, facilities, housekeeping, site supervision or a similar role
• Good communication, coordination and follow-up skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple hostel locations
• Valid driving licence and confident driving a company vehicle
• Willing to travel between company hostels
• Experience managing foreign worker accommodation / Act 446 is an advantage
• Hands-on, responsible and able to handle landlords, contractors and operational issues
