What You'll Be Doing

As a Hostel Supervisor / Warden, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of one of our hostel locations, solving daily issues and ensuring residents have a safe, clean and comfortable place to stay.

Job Scope:

• Looking after the overall condition and daily operations of the hostel.
• Making sure hostel rules are followed and resolving issues between residents fairly.
• Conducting routine hostel inspections to ensure rooms and common areas are clean, safe and well maintained.
• Reporting maintenance or repair issues and following up until completed.
• Being the main contact person for residents' enquiries, complaints and daily needs.
• Monitoring hostel security, visitor access and responding to any incidents when needed.
• Keeping resident records, incident reports and hostel documentation up to date.
• Working closely with management, contractors and service providers to keep the hostel running smoothly.
• Ensuring the hostel complies with company policies and government requirements.
• Helping new residents check in, settle down and understand hostel rules.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

• Responsible and trustworthy.
• Friendly and able to communicate well with people from different backgrounds.
• Able to solve problems calmly and make good decisions.
• Willing to work independently and take ownership of the hostel.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) is an advantage.
• Experience as a hostel warden, site supervisor, security supervisor, property caretaker or similar role is an advantage, but training will be provided for suitable candidates.
