Role Description This is an on-site Hostess and Waitress role located in Fuvahmulah. The Hostess and Waitress is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating, and providing menu guidance while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Daily tasks include taking orders accurately, serving food and beverages, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, and ensuring tables and service areas are clean and well-presented. The role also involves handling guest inquiries and concerns, processing payments, promoting specials or events, and supporting smooth restaurant operations during peak service times. Availability for shifts, weekends, and holidays is expected to meet operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong guest service and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and courteously with diverse guests.
• Experience in restaurant hosting, waiting tables, order taking, and basic point-of-sale (POS) system use.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
• Professional appearance, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills, with accuracy in billing and payment processing.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Previous experience in hospitality or food and beverage service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; eligibility to work in Fuvahmulah.
