Hostess Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and handle transactions with accuracy and professionalism.

Duties

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcomed.
• Manage reservations and waitlists effectively to optimize seating arrangements.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information about menu items and restaurant services.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating strong guest relations skills.

Skills

• Previous Host/Host experience is preferred, along with a background in food service or restaurant settings.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest services.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience in hotel environments can be beneficial for understanding guest expectations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
