Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring seating arrangements meet their preferences and party size.
• Manage waitlists and communicate estimated wait times clearly via phone or in person.
• Handle cashier duties accurately by processing payments through POS systems, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
• Maintain organized reservation logs and monitor table turnover to optimize seating efficiency.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, providing information about the restaurant’s services and reservation policies.
• Support guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive first impression.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone communication professionally.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and cash handling efficiently.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash register operations and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest well-being.
• Ability to remain energetic, positive, and attentive during busy service hours.
• Prior experience in guest services or customer relations is highly valued.
