Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued
• Manage the reservation system and maintain an accurate booking schedule
• Seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner, considering their preferences and dining requirements
• Provide guests with menus and communicate any current specials or promotions
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth table turnover and optimal dining flow
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy
• Maintain the host stand area, keeping it neat, organized and stocked with necessary materials
• Monitor dining room capacity and manage waitlists during peak service periods
• Assist with special requests and accommodate guests with accessibility needs
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues as needed

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a similar front-of-house role within hospitality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for guest service
• Ability to remain calm and composed during busy service periods and peak times
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with reservation management systems and point-of-sale software
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in Indonesian and English; additional languages are advantageous
• High school diploma or equivalent education
