Hostess

We are looking for a professional, customer-oriented Host with fluent English skills to join a prestigious 5-star hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming, personalised experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
• Manage reservations, appointments, guest requests and seating arrangements, where applicable.
• Communicate fluently in English with international guests, both face-to-face and by phone or email.
• Handle payments, cash transactions, billing and basic cashier duties accurately and efficiently.
• Use office software, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), as well as the hotel's internal booking and management systems.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth daily operations and an excellent guest experience.
• Handle enquiries and resolve guest complaints or issues in a professional and efficient manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the hotel's luxury service standards, protocols and procedures.
• Work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, according to operational requirements.

Requirements

• Fluent English is essential, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in Spanish is desirable; additional languages are an advantage.
• Good IT and office software skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Previous experience in hospitality, reception, guest relations or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Professional attitude, attention to detail, discretion and a strong customer-service mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Flexibility and availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
