Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Hostess / Host to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact, ensuring every guest feels valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. Your friendly demeanor, organizational skills, and attention to detail will help manage reservations, coordinate seating, and facilitate smooth guest flow throughout the dining experience. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly with enthusiasm and professionalism, setting a positive tone for their visit
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Answer incoming phone calls with clear communication and courteous phone etiquette, handling reservation inquiries and guest questions
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times accurately to guests
• Assist with guest services by providing menus, answering questions about the menu, and addressing special requests
• Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness in the host/hostess area and adhering to hygiene protocols

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service abilities
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables and reservations simultaneously
• Basic math skills for handling seating calculations and managing waitlists accurately
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Hospitality or restaurant experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
