Hostess/ host matre d wanted

The Maître d’ is responsible for overseeing the front-of-house guest experience, managing the dining room flow, and ensuring every guest receives warm, professional, and attentive service from arrival through departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and warmly greet all guests upon arrival.
• Manage the host stand, reservations, seating, and table assignments.
• Control the flow of the dining room and coordinate seating with servers and management.
• Maintain accurate knowledge of reservations, VIP guests, special occasions, and guest preferences.
• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, managers, and kitchen staff.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service and resolve concerns professionally.
• Maintain a polished, professional presence and uphold the restaurant’s service standards.
• Assist with managing waitlists and estimated wait times during busy periods.
• Coordinate special events, large parties, VIP visits, and special requests.
• Build strong relationships with regular guests and provide personalized hospitality.
• Ensure the entrance, host stand, and dining room present a clean and organized appearance.
• Assist management with opening, closing, and daily front-of-house operations.
• Support the team during busy service periods wherever needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maître d’, Host, Captain, or in upscale restaurant hospitality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in a high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of reservations and restaurant floor-management systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and guest-service skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
