Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Busser to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive. As a vital part of our service team, you will also assist with bussing tables, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the flow of service to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring optimal table utilization and waitlist management
• Communicate clearly with guests regarding wait times, menu options, and special requests
• Assist servers by bussing tables promptly, clearing dishes, and resetting tables for new guests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including wiping down tables and chairs regularly
• Support the host/host team with reservations and guest inquiries via phone or in person using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Monitor dining room for guest needs, responding promptly to requests for assistance or additional service
• Uphold restaurant policies on safety, hygiene, and customer service standards at all times
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods
• Follow proper phone etiquette when handling reservations or guest inquiries over the phone

Skills

• Previous host/host experience or food service background preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and guest relations best practices
• Professional phone etiquette for reservation handling and guest inquiries
• Hospitality experience in hotels or similar settings is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
