Hostess/Host

Sakatanoya Revolving Sushi & Ramen Bar is looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Hostess / Host to join our team!

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, and can create a welcoming first impression for every guest. As the first and last point of contact for many of our customers, you will play an important role in creating an excellent dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests with a warm, friendly attitude
• Manage the waitlist and accurately estimate guest wait times
• Seat guests efficiently while balancing table sections for servers
• Answer phone calls and assist guests with questions
• Manage reservations and seating requests when applicable
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand
• Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and kitchen staff
• Assist with menus, takeout orders, and other guest requests
• Monitor the dining room and help ensure guests receive prompt attention
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
• Assist the team with additional front-of-house duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Must be available for weekend shifts
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
