Hostess/Host

The Big Mini Putt Club - an indoor mini golf course and bar - is looking for friendly and caring Hosts/Greeters to join our team at our Grand Rapids location! Our hosts enjoy being around people and working in a fast-paced environment with a casual, but elevated atmosphere.

Hosts/Hostess are tasked with:

• Maintaining the flow of guests
• Taking customer phone calls and answering all applicable bar questions
• Assisting the bartenders in providing an exceptional experience for all the guests.

Essential Job Functions:

• Familiar with reservation system and numbers
• Treats all guests as if they were a friend
• Keep mini golf course clean and clear
• Managing guests starting on and finishing the golf course
• Organize the Host area and Equipment
• Possess a desire to host your guests and personally see to their enjoyable experience
• Able to respond to guests' needs by knowing the proper operations as documented by The Big Mini Putt Club
• Friendly and hospitable to all guests when they are arriving, while visiting, or while leaving our establishment.
• Properly reset tables
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of FOH inventory and supplies.

Other Functions:

• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the bar as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
• Complying with health and food safety standards, restocking items, cleaning,
• Operating the Toast POS, answering the phone, providing great customer service, and following The Big Mini Putt Club policies & procedures

Physical Functions:

• Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 8 hours or as needed.
• Must be able to exert well-paced and frequent mobility or standing for periods of up to 8 hours or as needed.
• Be able to lift up to 40 Pounds
• Work in both warm and cool environments
• High levels of noise from music, customer and employee traffic.
• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.

Qualifications, Education and Behavior

• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to work Late into the evening.
• High School Education or equivalent

About the Big Mini Putt Club: The Big Mini started in Chicago as the first, dedicated indoor 9-hole mini golf course with two locations succeeding in the Chicago area. The 9-hole course was designed and built by our owners to be challenging yet fun for all skill levels. The course and bar design hearkens back to simpler times: when you could spend your summer nights challenging your family, friends, and/or foes to a couple rounds of mini golf – then cool off with a slushie. Oh, and we’re not really a “club.” Just a place to have some old school fun and get some delicious drinks.

Job Types: Part-time

Pay: 15.00 - Per Hour + Tips

Time Frame:

Weekdays: 2pm - 10pm

Weekends: 10 AM - 12 AM
