Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems
• Coordinate seating arrangements and manage waitlists to optimize table turnover
• Assist servers and food runners by delivering food promptly and accurately to tables
• Use POS (Point of Sale) systems such as TOAST to process orders and payments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand and waiting areas
• Answer phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations or providing information about the restaurant
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards during food delivery and table setup
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours

Experience

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant setting preferred
• Food service experience that demonstrates familiarity with restaurant operations and guest interactions
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as TOAST and Opentable
• Strong communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette, to engage effectively with guests and team members
• Organizational skills to manage seating arrangements, reservations, and guest flow efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, tips, and billing processes
• Experience in maintaining high standards of food safety and guest relations in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
