Host/Guest Experience Ambassador

Slate by Nik Fields is seeking a polished, personable, and dependable Host to be the first point of contact for our guests. The Host plays an essential role in creating the elevated Slate experience from the moment guests arrive until they are seated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Warmly greet every guest with a genuine smile and welcoming attitude
• Manage guest arrivals, seating, and table assignments
• Monitor and manage reservations using our reservation system
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
• Provide accurate information regarding reservations, menus, events, and the Slate experience
• Maintain awareness of table availability and communicate effectively with servers and management
• Assist with managing the waitlist and guest flow during busy periods
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus when appropriate
• Monitor the overall appearance and cleanliness of the host stand and entrance
• Assist the team with light service-support duties when needed
• Communicate guest needs, concerns, and special requests to management and service staff
• Help create a smooth and memorable guest experience from arrival to departure

IMPORTANT

Slate is an intimate, fast-paced establishment. You must be comfortable working efficiently in a small space, multitasking, and stepping in wherever the team needs support.

HIRING PROCESS

Candidates will begin with a brief phone interview to discuss experience, availability, and interest in the position.

Candidates who advance will participate in a hands-on staging interview to demonstrate communication, guest interaction, professionalism, ability to follow direction, and overall fit with the Slate experience.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
