Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations, and seat guests efficiently to optimize table turnover
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using restaurant table management systems and POS (Point of Sale) system
• Prepare and serve drinks responsibly as a bartender or assist in barback duties by restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness behind the bar
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, offering menu recommendations, and ensuring overall satisfaction
• Manage phone communication with professionalism, including reservation inquiries and general guest questions, adhering to proper phone etiquette
• Support restaurant operations by maintaining organization of tables, ensuring food safety standards are met, and assisting with guest needs promptly
• Collaborate with team members to uphold a lively, organized environment that emphasizes hospitality and guest comfort

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles is a plus
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation restaurant table management software
• Experience working with POS systems such as Revel is preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety standards and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
• Previous experience in hospitality environments emphasizing guest relations and hospitality service excellence is highly desirable
