Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive, establishing a positive first impression.
• Manage restaurant reservations using advanced table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth table turnover.
• Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times and reservation details.
• Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status.
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness of the host station area.
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall guest satisfaction.

Experience

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations.
• Strong communication skills are essential for interacting confidently with guests, team members, and management.
• Experience with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Basic math skills are necessary for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions.
• Proven organizational skills to manage multiple tables, phone inquiries, and guest requests efficiently.
• Knowledge of hospitality standards, including guest services and food safety protocols, is a plus.
• A friendly demeanor combined with excellent phone etiquette will help foster positive guest relations in a fast-paced environment.
