We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our hospitality team. Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring they feel welcomed upon arrival
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
• Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate wait times clearly via phone or in person
• Handle phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, including taking takeout orders, taking reservations and answering guest questions
• Take in-person orders and execute correctly sending them to the kitchen in a timely manner
• Coordinate with the serving staff to optimize table turnover and seating arrangements
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, adhering to food safety standards and hospitality best practice

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and restaurant table management systems like Toast POS
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, guest counts, and seating arrangements accurately
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage waitlists, reservations, and guest flow seamlessly
• Knowledge of food safety standards and guest relations best practices in a hospitality setting
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and friendliness

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
