Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant.
• Manage reservation systems efficiently, including booking, confirming, and adjusting reservations using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Seat guests promptly and coordinate with servers to ensure timely service.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and handle guest questions effectively.
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
• Support the front-of-house team by managing guest flow during busy periods while upholding food safety and sanitation standards.
• Use POS systems accurately for seating assignments and recordkeeping, ensuring smooth operations throughout service hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including professional phone etiquette.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and billing support if needed.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tables and reservations efficiently during peak hours.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction.
