Host/Hostess

The Host / Hostess serves as the "Director of First Impressions" and the architect of the venue's "Mechanics of Flow". As the first point of contact, this role is responsible for executing the brand's sophisticated atmosphere through elite technical greeting protocols and precise reservation management. The Host / Hostess ensures that the transition from arrival to the "Vibe Dining" experience is seamless, personalized, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• The 10-5-3 Rule: Execute immediate guest recognition, ensuring every guest is greeted within 60 seconds of entry with eye contact and a professional demeanor.
• Reservation Mastery: Utilize SevenRooms guest history and preference logging to recognize returning VIPs and "surprise and delight" guests upon arrival.
• Mechanics of Flow: Manage the seating floor with precision, coordinating table assignments and communicating with servers and management to maintain an "invisible hand" of service.
• Menu Presentation: Walk guests through the menu layout during seating to assist in "creating their coursing" and offer bottled still or sparkling water options immediately.
• Etiquette of Movement: Navigate the dining room with grace, maintaining professional posture and using specialized verbiage such as "Pardon my reach" when necessary.
• Guest Recovery: Proactively handle initial guest feedback at the door, utilizing real-time data to resolve potential seating conflicts before they impact the dining experience.
• Communication Hub: Act as the central communication point for the front door, managing phones, guest inquiries, and waitlists in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

• Professional Image: Adherence to elite grooming standards and a sophisticated demeanor that reflects The Carlyle Club's "classy" brand.
• Technical Proficiency: Prior experience or the ability to quickly master SevenRooms or similar reservation management platforms.
• High-Volume Excellence: Proven track record of managing complex guest flows in a luxury or fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Vibe Alignment: Understanding of the balance between high-energy music and the technical requirements of "silent service".
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure peak periods.
