Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize table utilization
• Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating proper phone etiquette and clear communication skills
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest flow
• Maintain organized waitlists and monitor table turnover to maximize seating efficiency
• Handle guest inquiries or concerns courteously, providing exceptional guest services and fostering positive guest relations
• Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health regulations in the host area

Experience

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment preferred
• Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage reservations and coordinate guest seating efficiently
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions
• Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations is a plus
