Duties

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Toast POS or Resy
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times and reservations while practicing excellent phone etiquette
• Maintain clear communication with the kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Assist with guest services by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and courteously
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station area to promote a safe dining environment

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally in person and over the phone
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Resy POS is advantageous
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest flow efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS or Micros POS to assist with guest check-ins and billing processes
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure while delivering outstanding guest relations and hospitality
