Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive
• Manage restaurant reservation systems, including booking, confirming, and adjusting reservations to optimize seating arrangements
• Maintain an organized waitlist and coordinate table assignments efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
• Answer phone inquiries with clear communication, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and general restaurant details
• Escort guests to their tables promptly while explaining menu highlights or specials as needed
• Support food service staff by managing guest flow and ensuring timely seating to enhance overall guest satisfaction
• Uphold food safety standards and restaurant policies while maintaining a clean and welcoming host station
• Support the restaurant with cleanliness in areas most visited by customer including restaurant main floor and rest rooms.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant environment is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest relations abilities
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and billing procedures
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in a food service setting
• Ability to remain energetic, positive, and professional during busy hours while providing exceptional guest experiences
