Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure smooth seating operations. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, managing reservations, greeting guests with enthusiasm, and coordinating table assignments efficiently. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage table rotation
• Coordinate seating arrangements and waitlist management to optimize table turnover and guest flow
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with inquiries and to go orders
• Maintain organized guest lists and reservation logs using restaurant table management systems
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
• Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper guest interaction protocols and cleanliness practices

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and guest counts
• Knowledge of hospitality principles and guest relations to enhance customer experiences
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during shifts
