Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Genisis POS
• Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, handling inquiries about reservations, wait times, and general information
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest flow
• Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper guest interaction protocols and cleanliness practices
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone conversations confidently and professionally
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Excellent organizational skills to manage waitlists, reservations, and guest flow efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating counts, and billing procedures
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain energetic throughout shifts in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with hospitality principles, guest services, and food safety standards is desirable
