Job Overview

We are seeking a Professional Career Host/Hostess to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive. You will manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and facilitate smooth guest flow to enhance overall dining experiences. Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and assist with seating arrangements to optimize restaurant flow
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in guest waitlists efficiently using restaurant table management systems Resy
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries
• Maintain organized guest lists, reservation logs, and seating charts to ensure seamless service delivery
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to communicate guest needs and special requests promptly
• Uphold food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of menus and guest areas
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and fostering positive guest relations throughout their visit

Experience

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is required. Preferred 2 years minimum.
• Strong background in restaurant reservation management and familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as RESY
• Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally via phone and in person
• Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest counts accurately
• Experience with POS systems used in food service settings is advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards is desirable
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a lively environment
