Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team here at Neighborhood Sushi Dallas! Duties

• Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor upon arrival, making them feel valued and comfortable from the moment they walk in
• Manage restaurant reservation systems, including Aloha POS or Micros POS, to coordinate seating and optimize table turnover
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortably seated and informed about menu specials or wait times
• Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, handling reservation inquiries and guest questions efficiently
• Maintain organized restaurant table management systems to track seating arrangements and waitlists accurately
• Collaborate with servers and support staff to ensure seamless guest flow and timely service delivery
• Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper sanitation and cleanliness protocols in all guest-facing areas

Experience

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations and guest interactions
• Proven ability to manage restaurant reservation systems such as OpenTable or SevenRooms.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with guests confidently and professionally
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously
• Experience in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring positive guest relations at all times
• Basic math skills for handling reservations & waitlist calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
