Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest services, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating operations within our restaurant or hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience in food service or hospitality environments. This position offers an opportunity to be the first point of contact for guests, contributing significantly to their overall experience.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating process efficiently
• Handle reservations and waitlist management using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
• Provide accurate wait times and assist guests with seating arrangements
• Maintain a clean and organized host station and dining area
• Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings or general questions
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
• Manage guest flow during peak hours to optimize seating capacity and reduce wait times
• Assist in maintaining a friendly, hospitable environment that encourages repeat visits

Skills

• Proven experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality roles preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
• Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures is a plus
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
• Previous hotel or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
