Duties

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover
• Answer phone inquiries with clear, courteous communication, providing information about the restaurant and wait times
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
• Assist guests with special requests or seating preferences to enhance their experience
• Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary

Requirements

• Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for guest service is essential
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Experience with guest services or serving is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with hospitality standards
• Hotel or restaurant experience is advantageous for understanding industry expectations
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with diverse guests and team members
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods during shifts

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
