Duties

• Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and provide excellent customer service from arrival to departure
• Manage restaurant reservations using restaurant table management systems such as Toast POS, ensuring accurate seating arrangements
• Coordinate guest seating efficiently to minimize wait times and optimize table turnover
• Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and handle guest requests promptly
• Maintain organized waiting lists, monitor table availability, and communicate effectively with the team to ensure seamless service flow
• Support food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness of the host station and adhering to hygiene protocols
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure guest needs are met quickly and accurately

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations
• Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and professional phone etiquette
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management software such as Toast POS is a plus
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods during shifts
• A genuine passion for hospitality and guest relations, with a focus on creating positive experiences for all visitors

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
