In this energetic role, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurant, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and ensuring smooth guest flow for 70+ covers. This role requires someone who is organized, warmly assertive, and naturally at ease with people. Duties

• Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and provide excellent customer service from the moment they arrive to set the tone for their entire visit.
• Manage restaurant reservations and walk-ins efficiently using Shift4 Skytab POS and reservation system, ensuring optimal seating arrangements.
• Coordinate guest seating by maintaining organized waitlists and communicating wait times clearly via phone and in person.
• Communicate table status, waitlist timing, and section pacing clearly with the floor team.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while practicing proper phone etiquette.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including menus and reservation logs.
• Support food service staff by managing guest flow and ensuring timely seating to enhance overall guest relations.
• Support the team during transitions — bussing, resetting tables, and flagging service needs as needed
• Uphold food safety standards and adhere to all health regulations while handling guest interactions and restaurant operations.
• Uphold SOS standards for hospitality, presentation, and guest communication in every interaction

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a food service environment is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Shift4 is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for managing waitlists, reservations, and POS transactions accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of hospitality standards including guest relations, phone etiquette, food safety practices, and restaurant table management systems.

Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
