Host/Hostess

Gyu-Kaku [gew-kah-koo] is a chain of Japanese yakiniku—meaning grilled meats

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for the following:

• Maintaining a positive attitude during operation, ensure guests’ needs are met while they are waiting for their table
• Have high level of cleanliness, and be detail oriented to ensure that the restaurant is kept above the standard of Hygiene and Safety Regulations
• Have ability to anticipate table turnover, and transition times.
• Answer phone calls for reservations, and assist customers’ needs
• Bussing and setting tables during rush

Qualifications:

• Part-time/Full-time (with flexible hours)
• English & French
• Be able to work under pressure, and fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, however a team player
• Passionate and reliable
• Adherence to the company specifications
• Outgoing, and fun with an enthusiastic personality
• Ability to prioritize, and think ahead
• Excellent communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $16.60-$24.00 per hour
