Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations while practicing proper phone etiquette
• Coordinate seating arrangements, monitor wait times, and manage guest flow to optimize table turnover
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area and waiting list logs
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and provide exceptional guest relations to enhance overall satisfaction

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Basic math skills for handling reservations and guest counts accurately
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
• Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette
• Previous experience in customer service or guest relations roles is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
