Duties

• Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent guest relations from arrival to departure
• Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, including Aloha POS and Micros POS platforms
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Assist with guest inquiries about menu offerings, restaurant policies, and special events
• Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health guidelines in the host area

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Proficiency in restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS preferred
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling tables management and guest billing when needed
• Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and courtesy
• Familiarity with phone communication protocols and etiquette in a fast-paced setting
