Duties

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently using restaurant table management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and handle guest questions promptly
• Maintain organized waiting lists and monitor table availability to optimize seating flow
• Assist servers and kitchen staff by communicating guest needs and managing wait times effectively
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the host stand area, adhering to food safety standards
• Support guest relations by addressing guest concerns courteously and professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude are essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Excellent organizational skills to manage seating flow and reservation schedules efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and guest counts accurately
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is a plus
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
