Job Title: Team Member / Session Host

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (Requires evening and weekend availability)
Reports To: Store Manager / Assistant Manager

Position Overview : As an iSmash Team Member, you are the face of the guest experience. Your primary focus is to guide guests through their selected activities safely while ensuring they have an unforgettable, high-energy visit. This is a hands-on, physically active role where you will manage check-ins, conduct safety briefings, gear up participants, and handle room setup and cleanup.

High-Schoolers are also welcome!

Ours is a 'tipped business', meaning employees make extra earnings by collecting significant tips by delighting the customers with their outstanding service.

Core Responsibilities

• Guest Hosting & Experience: Welcome customers, verify digital waivers, and guide groups through their activities (rage rooms, paint splatter, or digital games). Act as a dedicated session host for birthday parties and corporate team-building events.
• Safety & Supervision: Conduct mandatory safety orientations and brief guests on activity rules. Ensure every guest is correctly outfitted in proper safety gear (face shields, goggles, gloves, and coveralls) before they enter a room.
• Room Setup & Resetting: Safely stock smash rooms with breakable inventory (e.g., glassware, electronics, printers). Clean up and sweep debris between sessions to keep rooms safe for subsequent groups.
• Inventory Handling: Assist with unloading shipments and prepping breakable items. Must be comfortable performing repetitive lifting, bending, and moving heavy boxes.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the entire venue, including check-in counters, party rooms, and spectator spaces.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Customer-Centric Attitude: Enthusiastic, outgoing, and confident when speaking to large groups or party crowds.
• Reliability: Strong punctuality and commitment to working flexible hours, including Friday and Saturday nights.
• High-Schoolers are also welcome!

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate of $15 (It's a tipped business in which employees make significant amount in tips; guaranteed hourly rate of $15 in case tips fall short)

As the first Manager, you'll have the unique opportunity to build the team, establish the culture, implement operational excellence, and play a pivotal role in launching one of MetroWest's newest entertainment destinations.

We're excited to open our doors in Westborough, Massachusetts, with our Grand Opening scheduled for October 2nd. We're looking for an exceptional leader to join us beginning around August 1 to help prepare for opening day. During the pre-opening period, you'll join hands with owners to recruit and train the team, establish operational procedures, coordinate opening activities, and ensure the center is ready to deliver an outstanding guest experience from day one.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
