Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival with enthusiasm and professionalism, establishing a positive first impression.
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and seating charts efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest flow.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow.
• Maintain organized reservation records using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or similar platforms.
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns courteously and promptly, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
• Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene practices during guest interactions and table management.

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles with strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems like Aloha POS or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette.
• Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating efficiently.
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and billing inquiries accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
• Experience with POS systems such as POS or Aloha POS is preferred to facilitate smooth transactions when needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and hospitality focus.
