Position Summary
The Host / Hostess welcomes guests, manages reservations, waitlists, and seating, and helps create a warm and professional first impression. This role supports smooth front-of-house operations by maintaining an organized entrance and working closely with the Lead Host, service staff, and management to ensure efficient seating flow and consistent hospitality standards in a high-volume restaurant and nightlife environment.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Reception, Reservations & Seating

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, seating, and guest updates efficiently.
• Maintain a welcoming presence at the host stand and coordinate table flow with the service team.
• Escort guests to their tables in a courteous and professional manner.

Guest Relations and Sales

• Address guest inquiries related to reservations, seating, and restaurant information.
• Assist with special requests such as birthdays, celebrations, or VIP seating arrangements.
• Maintain composure and professionalism when addressing guest concerns.
• Share restaurant offerings, special events, and available experiences with guests when appropriate.
• Recommend upgrades, celebrations, or special options in a friendly and natural way.
• Use strong communication skills to help create a memorable guest experience while supporting restaurant sales.

Operational & Professional Standards

• Maintain a clean, organized host and entrance area.
• Assist with dining room preparation and support service staff during busy periods.
• Maintain professional appearance and follow company policies, procedures, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organized in fast-paced environments.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Comfortable promoting restaurant offerings and identifying sales opportunities with guests.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly throughout the dining room, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant and nightlife environment.
• Ability to work effectively with elevated sound levels from music and entertainment.
