Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage reservations efficiently while maintaining a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using Toast POS or similar systems.
• Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and seating arrangements.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Provide menu information and answer any questions guests may have about food and beverages.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Help resolve any guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
