Host/Hostess

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming host for our dinner service. As the first point of contact, you will manage reservations, greet guests with warmth, and ensure smooth seating arrangements. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will set the tone for a positive atmosphere, encouraging guest satisfaction and repeat visits. This role is vital in maintaining efficient restaurant operations while delivering exceptional guest services.

Duties

• Manage restaurant reservation systems to schedule and confirm guest bookings efficiently
• Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude, providing excellent customer service from arrival to seating
• Coordinate with the dining team to assign tables, monitor wait times, and optimize seating flow
• Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about reservations, wait times, and restaurant policies
• Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their wait status
• Assist with guest relations by addressing special requests or concerns courteously and promptly
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) system to handle reservations and guest check-ins accurately

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred; hospitality background is a plus
• Strong communication skills with clear phone etiquette and active listening abilities
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests simultaneously
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and hospitality focus
