Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude as they arrive, making them feel immediately welcomed
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as toast, ensuring smooth seating arrangements
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times and restaurant offerings
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and minimize wait times
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area
• Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience
• Support team members by providing excellent guest services, demonstrating hospitality at all times

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles is preferred, especially in restaurant settings
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and positive interactions
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in hotel or restaurant environments is a plus but not required
• Demonstrated professionalism and a friendly demeanor that reflects hospitality excellence
