Host/Hostess

Kultura Charleston is a Filipino restaurant led by James Beard finalist Chef Nikko Cagalanan and his wife Paula Kramer. Our new space is built around community, storytelling, and hospitality, where every guest should feel like family. We are expanding to a larger location and looking for dedicated team members to join us in this next chapter.

Position Overview:

As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host/Hostess sets the tone for the entire dining experience. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys creating meaningful connections with guests.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins using our booking platform (Resy).
• Coordinate seating flow with servers and managers to maximize guest experience and table efficiency.
• Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries about reservations, menus, and events.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming entry area.
• Assist in supporting the FOH team with light side work as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior host/hostess or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Schedule:

• Part-time role (2–4 shifts per week).
• Primarily Thursday–Monday evenings.
