Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists with efficiency and professionalism
• Handle restaurant reservation management using popular table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times and reservations
• Maintain clear communication with the dining team to ensure smooth guest flow and timely service
• Assist in guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns promptly and courteously
• Support food safety protocols by ensuring cleanliness and organization at the host stand and waiting areas

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
• Proficiency in restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Basic math skills for handling reservations and guest counts accurately
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices is desirable
