Duties

• Greet guests warmly with enthusiasm and professionalism, setting a positive tone for their dining experience
• Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently
• Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assist with inquiries, and handle reservation requests promptly
• Maintain accurate restaurant table management systems to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and providing menus while informing them of specials or restaurant features
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow
• Uphold food safety standards by managing guest flow responsibly and maintaining cleanliness in the host station

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management software and POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and guest interaction
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and guest counts accurately
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs simultaneously
• Understanding of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest satisfaction and safety

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
