Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the waitlist with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Handle restaurant reservation management using established table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Answer phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservations as needed
• Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
• Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness in the host/hostess station and waiting areas

Qualifications

• Previous host/hostess experience or food service experience preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and seating calculations
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and restaurant operations is advantageous
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
