Host/Hostess

First impressions matter.

Our Hosts are often the first and last people our guests see, which makes this role one of the most important on our team.

Salt & Vine is opening in downtown Frederick, and we’re looking for a Host who is warm, confident, organized, and genuinely enjoys taking care of people.

You’ll set the tone for the guest experience from the moment someone walks through the door.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome every guest warmly and professionally
• Manage reservations, seating, and guest flow
• Escort guests to their tables and communicate timing accurately
• Answer questions about the restaurant and menu
• Maintain an organized and welcoming host stand
• Communicate closely with servers, managers, and the kitchen
• Help ensure the dining room flows smoothly throughout service
• Assist guests with questions, requests, and special occasions

What We’re Looking For

• A naturally warm and welcoming personality
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• The ability to remain calm and gracious when the restaurant is busy
• Confidence handling guest questions and concerns
• Someone who understands that hospitality starts before a guest ever sits down
• Restaurant experience is preferred but not required

We’re building the Salt & Vine Frederick team from the ground up, and we want people who are excited to help create something special in downtown Frederick.

Pay: $300.00 - $800.00 per week
