Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and ability to manage reservations and guest flow will ensure smooth operations and memorable moments for every visitor. This position offers a dynamic environment where your positive attitude and attention to detail will shine, making each guest feel valued from the moment they arrive.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing excellent guest services from arrival to departure.
• Manage restaurant reservation systems, including booking, confirming, and adjusting reservations to optimize seating arrangements.
• Answer phone calls promptly, using proper phone etiquette to handle inquiries, reservations, and guest requests effectively.
• Assist with seating guests in a timely manner while ensuring adherence to food safety standards and restaurant policies, as well as notifying servers of tables being sat.
• Communicate clearly with team members regarding guest needs, special requests, or seating arrangements to ensure seamless service flow.
• Support overall restaurant operations by maintaining cleanliness of the host stand area and assisting with guest relations as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, however, our staff is equipped to train new hires with no previous experience.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in phone communication and etiquette
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems (our restaurant utilizes Clover),
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $12.77 per hour

Expected hours: 13.0 – 26.0 per week
