Host/Hostess

The Host/Hostess plays an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for every guest. As the first and often last point of contact, this position is responsible for warmly greeting guests, managing seating and reservations, assisting with the flow of the dining room, and supporting the restaurant team in providing exceptional service.

A successful Host/Hostess is friendly, professional, organized, dependable, and comfortable communicating with both guests and team members in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
• Manage the restaurant waitlist, reservations, and seating assignments.
• Seat guests efficiently while maintaining appropriate table rotation among servers.
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist with restaurant questions, reservations, and general guest inquiries.
• Communicate accurate wait times and keep waiting guests informed.
• Maintain awareness of table availability and coordinate with servers and supervisors to ensure smooth dining room flow.
• Provide menus and ensure tables are properly prepared before seating guests.
• Assist guests with special requests and communicate relevant information to the appropriate team members.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming entrance, host stand, and waiting area.
• Assist with light cleaning, resetting tables, or other front-of-house duties as needed.
• Communicate guest concerns promptly and professionally to a supervisor or manager.
• Work cooperatively with servers, bartenders, bussers, kitchen staff, and management to provide a consistent guest experience.
• Thank guests as they leave and help ensure their final interaction with Apple Mountain is a positive one.
• Follow Apple Mountain service standards, policies, and procedures.

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and respond positively to coaching and feedback.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
