Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using popular table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and general questions
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Support food service staff by managing guest flow and ensuring timely seating
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host/hostess station and waiting areas

Experience

• Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlists, and guest counts accurately
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests efficiently
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety protocols and guest relations best practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
